Blackening Spice
5 T Kosher salt
5 T Paprika
1 T dried Thyme
1 T freshly ground Black Pepper
1 T garlic powder
1/2 t cayenne pepper
1/2 t ground white pepper

1/2 bottle Louisiana Hot Sauce
1/4 c vegetable oil
2 T brown sugar Splenda

24 frozen chicken wings


Rinse frozen chicken wings to remove ice glaze.

Place 4 T Blackening Spice mix into gallon size ziploc bag. Add oil and hot sauce. Mix by zipping bag closed and shaking gently.

Place frozen, deglazed, chicken wings in ziploc bag, close bag and turn over carefully to coat wings with sauce.

Remove wings from ziploc bag and place on baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Cook for 30 minutes in pre-heated oven at 450 degrees.

About five minutes before done turn the wings over to "crisp".
