I really like Original Black Label bacon by Hormel. On weekends I cook a pound of bacon by laying it out on a cookie tray or sheet cake pan and putting it into a 380 degree oven for about 25 minutes. By baking the bacon the strips stay flat and the result is crispy, crunchy bacon for breakfast. Remove from the oven and drain strips on paper towels. I drain the grease into a can kept in the refrigerator. My grandmother used bacon grease to flavor black-eyed peas and green beans.
